The Next Time...Think About It...

I was driving yesterday and heard this piece of community message from the radio...and it made me ponder further...

Ever felt that most of us (even the most civilized of human species) often get angry or easily provoked even if it's over some minor issues?
Well, being angry is not only hazardous to your health, it also reflects your vulnerability. Anger is your nemesis. The only way to fend it off is to think about the consequences that may come out of it. Nothing positive ever happens when you are angry. Most importantly, it will only hurt others' feelings with something that you might unintentionally say which you would most definitely regret later. Tiny or even unnecessary issues could be blown so out of proportion that it may be beyond repair, causing you to have even more nemesisses, or worst still, even losing people that really meant a lot to you. As the old saying goes: "It is always better to have more friends than enemies!"...On top of that, it is no good for your heart and blood pressure too!

So the next time you feel the degree of your anger rising; count to three, take two steps back and inhale one hefty long breath. Smile, do not retaliate. A person cannot be further aggravated when you given them a nice, sweet smile instead of a nasty, bitter retort. You might be surprised at just how vast a difference it would result and how much better you would feel.

And then walk away with your head held up high; the integrity, respect and confidence that you own, still very much intact in your 'righteous-self'...

The next time, think about it first before allowing anger to take control of you...

Peace Out.

Stay well and cool.

Signing off,
