So, Who's Having The Last Laugh, huh? ...

...after finally being able to belt out some 'decent' tunes from my tiny, almost 'ukelele-sized' guitar, I felt confident enough to purchase a 'real' one.

Making my way into the guitar shop, a sale's assistant instantly came up to my assistance before I had even taken more than ten steps. (business is really bad these days...lol)

Not that he was not helpful but I felt a tad iritated by his never-ending 'hard sell' technique; pushing and shoving all kinds of guitars into my face before I could even browse the entire shop.

In my opinion, purchasing a guitar is totally different from purchasing erm...say daily essential groceries ie; eggs, soy milk, fruits, the greens, heck even a pack of cigarettes.

You NEED to Feel the instrument and strangely enough, 'it' also needs to feel you. There has to be a mutual connection between 'us' simply because 'we' would be partners and spend lots of time together; just like your spouse, girlfriend, boyfriend, mistress, toyboy etc..lol

Seriously...despite the 'persistant' sale's assistant tailing my every move, I suddenly found myself drawn to one particular guitar. It's not awesomely outstanding in regards to its outlook.

Like I've mentioned, it's the instant connection between 'us' and call me insane but I swear I could hear 'it' greeting me with a warm "Please Buy Me" look as well.

The minute I held 'It', there was this strange yet pleasant feeling BUT there's just one tiny problem: 'It' was rather huge for me. I could see from the back of my head that the sale's assistant was trying his best to stifle his laughter as he watched me struggle with the 'distance' of each fret, my stumpy fingers trying to reach each note while I try 'It' out.

Despite 'Its' size, I decided to purchase it, even more so when the 'helpful' sale's assistant enquired (several times!) if I was Really Sure about 'It'.

So I brought my new 'partner' home, gave 'It' a warm welcome, a tour of the house and introduce 'It' to my family before giving 'It' a nice, thorough 'spa treat'; polishing, 'massaging', fine-tuning to the perfect pitch and at the same time, engaging in a talk.

I was initially hesitant to use it after the 'unpleasant silent taunt' from the shop's assistant but I decided to give 'It' another try and My Good Lord, 'we' managed to present the most satisfying melody I have heard by far (based on my "preschool-beginners'-level", of course).

'Our' collaboration of rendering "Romance d' Amour" was so fluid, cozy and so at ease, it really amazed me with a fulfilled sense of accomplishment; as my stumpy fingers seemed to have been replaced by beautiful lithe ones, lovingly running through the strings, almost like caressing 'It'.

After a night of making sweet music together, enjoying each other's company, the two of 'Us' finally fell asleep.

'We' made a mutual desicion to visit the guitar shop again just to show the 'taunting salesman' how much 'We' love each other before exiting the premise, having the last laugh by 'Ourselves'...

Have a great day, guys.

Stay well and cool.
